TSA checkpoints

From September 2017, the Transportation Security Administration implemented more effective security procedures to make an even safer environment for travelers. At the checkpoints, TSA officers will ask passengers to remove their electronic devices that are bigger than cell-phones. Passengers have to put these devices in the containers for X-ray screening. This rule also applies devices placed in carry-on bags. TSA officers are guiding every passenger through the screening process.

Travelers can bring food, liquids with the 3-1-1 liquids rule, books, electronics, etc. in their carry-on bags. Checking at the TSA checkpoints might take a long time, so Transportation Security Administration recommends every passenger arrive at the airport two hours before departure.

Travelers who are in the TSA-Pre check program are not obliged to take off their shoes, take their devices out of the bags at the security checkpoints. For them, there are separate lines.
